VAM Systems is currently looking for Geospatial Postgre SQL DBA for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Experience, Skills and Qualifications :

• Must have Geospatial database management experience.
• Must have experience in creating servers and workstations on EC2
• Spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MSSQL Spatial and any other bigdata platform
• PostgreSQL Database development and administration
• PostGIS extension expertise
• Experience of DBA within Cloud Environments
• ArcGIS, QGIS, Bentley Open Cities is a desirable/advantage
• At least 5 years minimum experience post-graduation
• A relevant technical degree qualification in Engineering/Science related course,e.g. DBA GIS/Computer Science etc.

Any skills in the following beneficial:

• Computer programming skills such as python and MSSQL
• FME
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud and RDS PostgreSQL
• Web development using programming languages and technologies such as JavaScript, node.js, HTML5, CSS, QT etc.
• Semantic 3D modelling capabilities and methodologies using 3D datasets such asLIDAR, Point Clouds, and 3D models and objects
• Experience with geospatial data, extracting and analysing the data and deriving insights and patterns whilst maintaining standards, methods and procedures e.g.Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)

 

Terms and conditions
Joining time frame: (15 – 30 days)

 

The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems – Bahrain and shall be deputed to one of the Organizations in Bahrain.
