Job Description

Currently we are seeking an experience IT professional to join the site based IT function as the IT Manager supporting the Supply Chain Solutions Technology business unit across multiple sites. Ideally you’ll be operating on a remote basis with travel to our main sites. The IT Manager is responsible for the Warehouse Management System (WMS) delivered at sites, ensuring our customers are satisfied by taking on a continuous improvement mind-set. The IT Manager takes ownership of all sites WMS, providing WMS support for the operational site and act as customer liaison for all WMS services impacting the site. The role requires a hands-on approach in providing WMS support to the operation and customer with the ability to lead all development activities and projects such as implementations and upgrades.

The key responsibilities of the IT Manager will include;

• Analyzing functional and technical requirements, and the design and build of solutions.

• Contributing to the provision of any Quality Assurance, Configuration, Testing, Training or Documentation services required to successfully integrate and implement the final solution.

• Responsible for providing support on testing, training & defect resolution management & also capture issues during go live.

• Play key technical role in WMS Projects and new Customer on-boardings or coordinate with central teams where more in depth skills are needed.

• Responsible for minor WMS changes like Report and Label design.

• Lead WMS continuous improvement by identifying and applying changes to common areas across multiple customers within the BU.

• Support IT Manager and Campus IT Manager in identifying and coaching/training BU super users.

• Work with internal and external customers, suppliers/vendors and cross-functional stakeholders & peers to collaboratively resolve issues and provide ongoing support in accordance with the business unit agenda.

• IT Supplier Management – management of IT suppliers within area of responsibility.

• IT Product Management – management of IT products within area of responsibility.

• IT Implementation – direct and own solution design and delivery of IT solutions, services and processes within area of responsibility.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent {Engineering, IT, Logistics} required.

• Be able to demonstrate experience in Warehouse Management System.

• Solid SQL query writing and understanding.

• Ability to analyze and define functional requirements.

• Strong stakeholder management experience.

• Experience in leading IT projects.

• Experience working within an operational IT setting, desirably within a logistics industry.

• Excellent Communication (written and verbal).

• Financial/Commercial Awareness Skill.

• IT Service Management skill.

• Internal/External Customer Management.

• Staff Management/Leadership skill.
