Accounting Payroll Manager

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and payroll procedures, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. This is a part-time, fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process payroll for employees accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain payroll records and documentation, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and taxes.
Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and seamless payroll processing.
Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for review by management.
Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations, and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and procedures.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support accounting and finance initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
Proven experience (X years) in payroll processing and accounting, with a strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in payroll software and accounting systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high level of self-motivation and accountability.
