Job Title: Plastic Pelletising Plant Operator
Location: MeC Recycling – Pretoria, Booysens
Employment Type: Full-time
About Us:
MeC Recycling is a growing recycling business based in Pretoria. We specialise in the recycling of plastic waste into pelletised and granulated materials for resale to factories and manufacturers.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Pelletising Plant Operator who can run and maintain our pelletiser machine. The ideal candidate should have a background in plastics processing, extrusion, or recycling, and be confident in operating machinery safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor the pelletiser plant machine
Ensure quality control of pelletised and granulated plastic
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
Follow health and safety protocols at all times
Record production output and machine performance
Requirements:
Prior experience in plastic pelletising, extrusion, or injection moulding (essential)
Technical qualification / machine operator training (advantageous)
Mechanical aptitude with ability to identify and fix minor machine issues
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary: To be discussed in Interview
