Overview
Bookkeeping & Transactions: Process accounts payable/receivable, handle petty cash, and update financial ledgers.
Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end/year-end closing and prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions regularly.
Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with financial policies and assist in preparing tax returns (VAT, WHT).
Data Accuracy: Review financial documents to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Proven work experience (usually 2+ years) as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software like QuickBooks or ERP systems.
Analytical Skills: Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Communication: Effective interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and internal departments.
