Join Our Team as a **PROCUREMENT MANAGER**

📌 Location: Kangulumira, Uganda

**Job Expectations:
The procurement manager is expected to lead our procurement team and spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. It is the Procurement manager’s responsibility to implement cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company and to ensure quality control and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
♦ Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
♦  Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
♦  Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
♦  Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
♦ Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
♦  Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track inventory and the supply/distribution of goods.
♦  Preparing monthly and periodic procurement reports.
♦ Ensure the accuracy of the inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.
♦ Manage department relations and database as well as maintain high ethical relationships both in camps/lodges and Head office Operation Department
♦ Make sure before new stocks arrive, the storeroom is clean, organized and all the remaining stocks are pulled forward
♦ Deliveries- To count and check all new stock and write down items received, then update deliveries on Tall order once received.
♦ Weekly orders – Physical stock check before discussing the orders with the head chef or Barman. Hand over orders to managers for review and place orders on Tall order
♦End of the month in depth physical stock count, fill in the stock sheet, and share the report with Head Office.
♦  Clear understand of Sage 300 system and Tall order
♦  Work on contracts/ projects as assigned by management and/or as required.

**REQIUREMENTS**
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
✔ Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in the hospitality industry.
✔ Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
✔ In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, regulations, and best practices.
✔Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
✔ Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
✔ Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
✔ Ugandans are highly recommended
