Bilingual Mechanic

General description
The Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections, installation, and repairs of
mechanical equipment in all areas onboard.
Responsibility
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the below
◾ Perform other work as directed
◾ Emergency responsibilities as per station bill

Responsible for:
◾ Carrying out inspections, mechanical repairs, and maintenance of installations and
equipment
◾ Daily cleaning and housekeeping in workshops and other areas
◾ Carry out assigned tasks in a safe manner following company policies and procedures
◾ Maintain equipment manuals, and service reports and advise supervisor on equipment and
spare parts status
◾ Order new spare parts and maintain an adequate stock of spares in order to fulfill
maintenance requirements
◾ Implementation of outstanding recommendations from equipment audits by customers,
class or management

Qualification requirements
◾ High school diploma or equivalent
◾ Training as per Training Matrix
◾ Preferable experience on offshore drilling units
◾ Knowledge of technical calculations required for mechanical operations
◾ Working knowledge of English
