General description
The Electrician is responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems and related equipment are maintained, serviced and tested.
Responsibility
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the below.
◾ Perform other work as directed
◾ Emergency responsibilities as per station bill.
Responsible for:
◾ Carrying out inspections, repairs, and maintenance of the electrical installation
and the electrical equipment
◾ Ensuring that the explosion-proof integrity of installations and equipment within
hazardous zones are maintained
◾ The HV plant and power distribution system
◾ Checking and calibrating gas detection equipment
◾ Daily cleaning and housekeeping in workshops and other areas
Qualification requirements
◾ Training as per Training Matrix
◾ Minimum 5-year experience preferably including 3 years on offshore drilling rigs
