Overview
Minority Africa is looking to hire a TitTok Specialist to spearhead our presence on this popular social media platform.
As a TikTok Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance our brand visibility, engage our audience, and drive traffic to our media content. This role requires a deep understanding of TikTok trends, creative storytelling, and the ability to connect with our target audience through compelling short-form videos.
This is a part time position for 12 months. It is a proactive role and you would be working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Develop and create engaging TikTok content that aligns with Minority Africa’s brand identity and resonates with our audience.
Stay updated on TikTok trends, challenges, and features to incorporate relevant elements into our content.
Strategy Development:
Collaborate with the Marketing, Editorial, Fellowship and other teams within Minority Africa to develop and implement a TikTok content strategy that aligns with overall marketing goals.
Analyze data and insights to refine strategies and maximize engagement.
Audience Engagement:
Foster community engagement by responding to comments, commissioning journalists and collaborating with influencers, and participating in relevant TikTok trends.
Monitor and respond to audience feedback to enhance content quality.
Cross-Platform Integration:
Collaborate with our Marketing Team to ensure seamless integration of TikTok content with other platforms.
Explore opportunities for cross-promotion and collaboration with influencers.
Analytics and Reporting:
Track and analyze key performance metrics on TikTok, providing regular reports to evaluate the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
Utilize analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimize content strategies.
What should you have?
Proven experience as a TikTok content creator or specialist.
Strong understanding of TikTok trends, challenges, and features.
Excellent video editing skills using relevant tools and software.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with social media analytics and data interpretation.
Journalism knowledge is an added advantage but not a requirement.
Remuneration
Salary: $250/month
