Job Title: VMC Programmer
Department: Production / Engineering
Location: Pali, Faridabad, Haryana
Reports To: Tool Room Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled VMC Programmer with expertise in using Delcam software (latest version) to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce high-precision components based on engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires proficiency in VMC programming, toolpath creation, and machine setup, with a focus on optimizing production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

·         Program Development:

·         Creating and optimizing CNC programs for VMCs using CAD/CAM software.

·         Translating engineering drawings and design specifications into machine instructions.

·         Selecting appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and coolant settings.

Machine Setup and Operation:

·         Setting up and adjusting VMC machines for production.

·         Loading and unloading materials and parts.

·         Verifying program control data for accuracy.

Troubleshooting and Quality Control:

·         Troubleshooting any issues with programs, tooling, or machine performance.

·         Ensuring the production process runs smoothly and efficiently.

·         Inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy.

Collaboration and Communication:

·         Collaborating with engineers and machinists to ensure accurate production.

·         Communicating with other team members to coordinate tasks and address any issue

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience programming VMC machines, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Software Expertise: Strong proficiency in using Delcam (latest version) for CAD/CAM programming and toolpath generation. Familiarity with other relevant software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of VMC programming/ CNC programming, and machining processes.
Machine Setup: Experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting VMC machines for complex machining tasks.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving programming or machining issues.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of parts and programs.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, engineers, and other departments.
Education: A degree or certification in  programming, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required if experience is sufficient.
