About the Role
A distinguished and private household seeks a highly skilled, experienced, and creative Continental Executive Chef to join their home on a full-time basis. This role requires a culinary professional with refined taste, deep knowledge of continental cuisines, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to consistency, high standards, discretion, and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Planning & Preparation:
Design and execute a variety of high-quality meals inspired by European, Mediterranean, and international continental cuisines.
Plan weekly and daily menus tailored to the family’s dietary preferences, restrictions, and seasonal availability.
Prepare meals for daily consumption as well as for special occasions, dinner parties, or guests.
Maintain variety while upholding nutritional balance and presentation quality.
Kitchen & Pantry Management:
Source fresh, premium ingredients and maintain relationships with trusted vendors and suppliers.
Ensure the kitchen is always clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
Oversee inventory and ensure pantry, refrigerator, and freezer items are properly stocked.
Monitor expiration dates and minimize food waste through careful planning and rotation.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety.
Ensure compliance with all applicable food handling regulations.
Maintain a clean and professional kitchen environment at all times.
Coordination & Communication:
Work closely with other household staff and household manager (if applicable) to coordinate meal timings and service.
Be responsive to changing needs, guest requirements, and family schedules.
Plan and prepare meals for travel when required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience as a Chef, preferably in high-end households, luxury hotels, or fine dining restaurants.
Specialization in continental and international cuisine.
Formal culinary training or certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
Creative, passionate, and knowledgeable about global food trends and presentation.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of household privacy.
Professional, polished, and well-mannered.
Working Conditions
Full-time role with flexible hours based on household needs.
Must be available on weekends, holidays, or evenings as needed.
