Overview
Job Purpose:
To design, develop, and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites that meet client specifications, enhance user experience, and align with branding and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with clients and internal teams to understand website requirements, target audience, and business goals.
Create website layouts, wireframes, and prototypes that align with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) best practices.
Design engaging graphics, icons, and multimedia content in accordance with branding guidelines.
Develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.
Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities.
Optimise websites for speed, SEO, and accessibility across all devices and browsers.
Conduct regular website testing, identify issues, and implement solutions.
Maintain and update website content, layout, and functionality as required.
Stay up to date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and tools.
Ensure all websites comply with relevant data protection, copyright, and accessibility regulations.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or Shopify.
Creativity with attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven portfolio of web design projects.
Experience in UX/UI design principles and web development best practices.
