Overview
Produce 3D models, shop drawings, and fabrication documents for themed scenic elements
Design and detail in metal (steel/aluminum) and wood/millwork (laminates, veneers, solid surface)
Produce detailed fabrication/construction drawings with accurate and clearly labeled measurements, materials and finishes specs
Work with our internal wood and metal fabrication teams throughout the fabrication/construction process to bring your drawings to life
Provide accurate files for CNC cutting and produce comprehensive material lists for procurement and purchasing
Assist in the estimating process by value-engineering and planning for production by employing innovative building methods and making intuitive materials suggestions
Collaborate with project managers, production, shop teams and other designers during the development of projects to ensure fabrication-ready deliverables
Solve for tolerances, hardware, and installation in real-world conditions
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years experience in mechanical, production, or industrial design
Skilled in SketchUp (preferred), AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, and Revit
Hands-on knowledge of wood and metal fabrication, construction and installation
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a shop-integrated environment
Large-scale signage experience a plus
